So, I had this conversation with someone on the Danish NaNo Discord server about how it could be interesting having an online writing group for fanfiction writers? And the hot take: people shouldn't be from the same fandom, but read each other's texts and fics with objective, fresh eyes that aren't coloured by a specific fandom's tropes, expectations and such. We simply look at one another's texts as texts, what can be improved, what works and what doesn't. I know some of the best beta feedback I've gotten from people who didn't know what the fuck I was writing about, but took the text on its own merits.

I'd love to do something like that! I've run writer's groups before (physical, educational), but at this point, online groups would fit me much better. Either here in some community or on Discord, either would be fine by me.

Could anyone besides me see the fun in this and have an interest in participating?

I'll see if I can maybe make a community or something to use for this. I need to think over some rules and procedures, so we are all on the same page when using it, but that shouldn't be too difficult.

I'm glad you have experienced it working before. Let's see if we can't get it working once again.
