OMG, this fic (for [community profile] bethefirst) is making me sweat so much, haha.

I really want to finish the first chapter (January) today and I am so close (like, I've written a poem for 27 out of 31 days now), but I can just feel my creative braincells wither and die now. I know I need to take a break and return later, but ugh. I really. Want. To be done. With January.

While I planned out January, though, I decided to give my project a new working title. Originally, inspired by a phrase in the poetry collection itself, I went with "The Year of the Horse", but now that I'm introducing a new red thread into the story, I've changed it to "The Year of the Wolf". Let's see if it sticks, but I like how it both references something out of the poems and differs from it at the same time.

On another note, I've now created [community profile] fanficfeedback which is hopefully gonna be a community where fanfic writers can meet and give each other's writings feedback, without having to be part of each other's fandoms to do so. Look at fics with fresh eyes. Treat them the same way we would if they were original. I think it's an interesting concept and once I'm done setting up the community, I hope some of you guys would be interested in joining! My reach in the DW writing community isn't very wide, so I'll need help getting the word out eventually.

Originally, I was going to write a long rant about my mother, whom I talked to on the phone last night, but I'm just so tired of dedicating so much time to her, so I won't. I talked to her, it was triggering, now it's over.

Until next time.

So, I'll enjoy myself until then.

OMG. Two minutes past four in the afternoon today, after working on it since 9 in the morning, I finished the January section of my [community profile] bethefirst submission, that's to say, the first out of twelve chapters. It will no doubt need a lot of revision tomorrow while I work on lining out the February section, but this feels like such a major accomplishment for me. I have almost never before written chaptered fics, especially not anything as ambitious as this project and it's going really well??

I can't get my arms down, I'm so excited.

Also, I signed up for Camp NaNo with this project, so I can focus on getting it finished, edited, betaed and turned in between April 1st and April 22nd.

Where do I get my lofty ambitions?
