SPUTNIK SWEETHEART by Haruki Murakami

__________

AND BONUS:
Return address: Major Maachan Nostalgia Lane. The first one is just amazingly funny, from Versailles no Bara. Rosalie is one of my favourite of her roles and the first one I saw her in, as far as I remember. I've included a video of her in it down below. The three gifs are from Datenshi no Namida that I rewatched some days ago which is just amazing. These are from the final pas de deux scene between Lilith and Lucifer. Maachan got to show off her ballet skills. She has beautiful arms and amazing feet. I need to rewatch more Takarazuka now that we have a disc drive that works.

TAKARAZUKA ROSE OF VERSAILLES 2006 - ROSALIE'S DREAM
Favourite scene ever!! Berubara is always a hot mess to watch, too pastel and too melodramatic, but this scene is so genuine and beautifully executed. Maachan asked the director while playing Rosalie how Rosalie thought of Oscar (this is a yuri non-pairing, guys, in Takarazuka!!) and was told to think of her as an angel. That adoration and awe and love really shines through. The costumes are insane, but the choreography tells its own story so clearly and I just love all of it. Will rewatch that show just for this dance time and again. Any day, honestly.

Besides having someone to fix our toilet this morning, literally nothing has happened. I finished Sputnik Sweetheart and have done some shopping, that is it. Good day off before work tomorrow.

K. and I had a breakthrough in regards to a new PSL with Lucifer and Elio and we started logging today, so that's wonderful. Really looking forward to another crazy ride, see where it takes us when we've already had the practice and managed to do it once before. I can feel we both know our characters better, so getting them to mesh is a lot easier. Like reincarnation, somehow. They've been here before, so some things come naturally.
I've finished putting the basics into Miu's journal, permissions, info, that kind of thing, so I feel somewhat ready to try and take her out for a spin. Now the question is how to make a community that largely works off of shipping and smut take an interest in an asexual character. I probably really have to work for this, but that's all right. I don't mind having a slowburn player experience with her, because I really like her and I know this canon so well that I can go back and forth between that and, say, Elio pretty easily. Also, they've got completely different narration styles, so...
Finally, I made a new meme-posting journal,
No one else is gonna do it, so. There.
I also have an insane urge to write Sputnik Sweetheart fanfic, but I have to chew on this, because I have only (recently) read the book in Danish, not in English, so the terminology and such is a bit far gone for me, but as far as I know, the Danish translator of Murakami is one of the best there is, so it might be an advantage? The English translations are notorious for cutting scenes and stuff to make the book fit with a particular page count and the Danish, at least, doesn't do that. We'll see. Maybe I can gather the courage.
