It has been a restless, anxious, stressful day.

Nevertheless, I have managed to write a couple of paragraphs on my Germaine (1stpersonsingular) fic which is slowly building up to its final climax. I think there are six or seven scenes left, before I should hopefully be done. It's taken me a few months to write, because the Omina project has run simultaneously and taken precedence, but I am very happy with this one-shot and I'm looking forward to getting it out of the world and up on AO3 soon. It is a very self-indulgent fic with my favourite OC and a kind of manifest that explores first wave feminism and the experience of lesbians and other WLW around the turn of the last century. I just love her voice and her whole personality which, I guess, is a pat on the back to myself. Well done, there.

Meanwhile, I'm beginning to get both nervous and excited about the editing process of The Year of the Wolf drawing nearer. So excited that I upon reread of the document decided to make an "OC" of the Amazon's love who only features as references in the original poetry collection and in the last one-third of my fanfic for it. Not a major figure, but a major force with a lot of impact, so I've made an RP journal for her (goodbyehello) and hope to flesh her out some more - because if, once I'm done editing this first fic, I still feel like staying in this 'verse, I might try to write something for her next. Her position is very different from the Amazon's and that could be interesting to explore.

Finally, I've been rereading some stuff from K's and my epic Elio/Lucifer PSL and feeling both grateful and happy that we managed to bring such a huge storyline and writing project to a satisfactory end. To this day, it's the RP I've done that I'm most proud of. We did good. Even reading it now, where I've come a long way with my writing, I think it's solid storytelling, solid characterisation and solid, solid as fuck writing on both our parts. One day, we'll do something similar again. The stars just have to align.

For now, we've gotten the idea for a kind of final scene to add to the storyline that we might play out tomorrow, if the energy's there. With everything that's going on these days, it changes from moment to moment whether we've got anything to give.
