I'm completely canon blind on the graphic novel - I've seen most of season 3 and 4 of Lucifer, thanks to K. and been well entertained, but I can't make any comparisons that are educated at all. I've enjoyed TV Lucifer for what my gf made of him through writing, though! Really loved playing opposite him.

Elio in this storyline is taken from Find Me, so we're dealing with adult Elio, but I'm really glad you're seeing the potential in this cross-over as much as we found it while writing it!
