THE LADY OF THE CAMELLIAS by Alexandre Dumas fils
January 4.
I just emerged from a series of very painful days. I did not know the body could cause such suffering. Oh! The life I led! I am paying for it twice today.
Someone was here to watch over me every night. I could no longer breathe. Delirium and cough were sharing the remnants of my poor existence.

A thaw is setting in, and the doctor has told me that I will be able to go out in a few days if the good weather continues.

THE LADY OF THE CAMELLIAS - PARIS OPERA BALLET
I'm going to watch this today! Not like I haven't watched it a million times already and have the DVD, but I'm going to watch it with a friend who has never seen it before and I'm excited like a little child to share it with her. She loves musical theater, so I'm hoping she'll appreciate the story-telling and scenography and theatrical qualities of this ballet as much as me. It's the final leg of prep for me before NaNo kicks off tomorrow and I actually feel ready to get started now.

Besides NaNo which is of course the main event of tomorrow, we have elections tomorrow in Denmark for government and state ministry and I don't have much hope for it, tbh. Denmark has been turning gradually more liberal over the past twenty years and the old welfare state that we used to be is lacking funds and a common belief from the people using it. I won't be surprised if we'll be having American state of affairs before I die. Sad to think about, no offense, Americans, and I really hope these elections will prove me wrong, but I'm not holding out hope.
But, NANOWRIMO starts tomorrow and I'm so stoked for it! I have notes for my story and a few sentences to build from. It's not going to be a full 50.000 words novel, but I'm hoping for a 30 pages short story at the least. We'll see, I'm not set on a certain length as much as a certain content. Manon/Marguerite, here I come...
