Last night, I deliberately stayed up. Well, it wasn't a choice at first, K. woke me up when she came to bed, but when I got up to take my usual one hour break in front of the computer (very bad sleep hygiene, I know), I got into such a good flow with my writing that I decided to just go all the way and not stop until I either couldn't keep my eyes open anymore or chapter 11 was done. Whichever came first.

Chapter 11 came first.

At half past three in the morning, I finally, finally, finally managed to finish my eleventh chapter of this monster fic and upon reread this morning, it's proven not nearly as fragmented and incohesive as I had feared. Definitely some parts that could need tightening up, but I have parts like that scattered all throughout the other chapters, too, so it's not a symptom of this one specific chapter at all.

Then, I slept like the dead for four hours and wasn't woken up until K. went to work. Now, I've spent the early morning rereading the November chapter, get the layout of chapter 12 (the final chapter, guys!!! omg) in order, make notes and a loose outline and now, I'm ready to just rock it today. The plan is, to put it simply, just to finish as much of it as I can possibly cram into one sitting, though I've promised myself I'll take a break to go for a walk at some point.

The weather isn't as great as it was yesterday, but it isn't half-bad. Windy.

I have tea and only a little bit of anxiety. I don't think life could honestly be better.
