The morning is clear and blue.
You must be complex to want simplicity.

The Story of Manon - Paris Opera Ballet
The Lady of the Camellias - Paris Opera Ballet
The Lady of the Camellias - Hamburger Ballet
This is my to-do list today. I am going to watch all three of these as research. As research for what, you might ask? Well.

NaNoWriMo approaches. I thought I knew what I was going to write about, actually I've known a couple of rounds now, ideas and projects changing repeatedly, but I think I've finally, finally landed on something that will both distract me from my Very Important Meeting in mid-November and not require more energy of me than I have to give, gearing up for that.
First off, I'm not going to partake in traditional NaNo, after all. I am going to do a personalized project that lasts from Monday the 17th of October until the day of my meeting, the 17th of November. What I finish between those two dates is going to be my project. I'm still going to track it on the NaNoWriMo website, but won't be partaking in events or whatever. Maybe some chats. Things that help, not things that distract.
What I landed on? Well, I started out thinking I would be doing Lady of the Camellias fanfiction - then moved over various other fandoms (The Inseparables by Simone de Beauvoir and Find Me by André Aciman) - but I'm here again, back where I started. I'm going to write Lady of the Camellias fanfiction, hence the immense ballet watchlist above. I'm going to write a verse novel about Manon and Marguerite, as seen from Manon's perspective, not as Manon from Prévost's novel, but as Manon from Marguerite's hallucinations. Functioning as Marguerite's mirror and her reflection. Her dark shadow. Think something along the lines of Nina's descent into madness in Black Swan but in the context of the Lady of the Camellias ballet.
I think the verse novel form will give me some space to not get completely riled up with wordcounting and poetry is my preferred form anyway, so. I do think this will be the project that is going to get me safely from A to B, from start to some kind of finish.

While this project is going on, I've decided to take a complete break from plurk where most of the rp chatter happens and a semi-hiatus from DWRP altogether. So you might hear more from me on this journal instead.
