THE EPICURE by Theocritus
Fill the bowl with rosie wine,
Around our temples roses twine.
And let us cheerfully awhile,
Like the wine and roses smile.
Crown'd with roses we contemn
Gyges wealthy diadem.
Today is ours; what do we fear?
Today is ours; we have it here.
Let's treat it kindly, that it may
Wish, at least, with us to stay.
Let's banish business, banish sorrow;
To the gods belong tomorrow.
note; I think I posted this one before, but it feels remarkably relevant today and I really like it, so here we go again.

DON QUIXOTE - ROYAL DANISH BALLET (TRAILER)
I'M GOING TO THE BALLET TOMORROW! FIRST TIME IN THREE YEARS! I am so excited for this. I haven't been to the ballet since before the pandemic, actually before we moved to our "new" apartment. So this is going to be so exciting. So far, cast lists say we'll be seeing the girl in the video here, Holly Dorger, as Kitri and that makes my heart just soar. All my favourite people, it's going to be grand. And even if there are casting changes, the ballet still looks amazing and it's going to be grand anyway.
Isn't this just the most amazing trailer, though??? Don Q isn't even my favourite ballet, but it's such happy music and such insanely fiery dancing that you have to feel happy watching it. I watched it back when it ran in 2017 and although the costumes of the old production were amazingly pretty, I think this is the vibe of the "new" Royal Danish Ballet and fits the company much better.

A lot of things have happened since I last posted (almost two weeks, wow) and I don't even know where to start. I'm going to forego all the disability-relevant stuff that's been happening, by just saying: it is done. I'm trying to stay on top of everything as well as I can. Things happen very quickly. The days fly by.
Last week I went to Sofie Hagen's Aarhus standup show and it was amazing! I was really nervous about it, seeing as I couldn't sit through all of Postmodern Jukebox, but this wasn't a problem. I think because the noise levels were different and not as much active participation. It's giving me hope for tomorrow which is an almost three hour long ballet. Ugh. But I will do it (insert strong arm emoji). It was lovely seeing my friend, Sara, again and I hope we'll soon be able to meet up the way we used to, once a week. I miss her a lot.
Tomorrow is a holiday in Denmark and that's why K. and I are going to Copenhagen all day to watch ballet. Then, there's something that's technically not a holiday, but most people take it off, on Friday. And then, weekend. So a lot of time to gather myself and get back on my feet after the big trip tomorrow.

K. and I are going strong with Anakin and Sarica and it's so much fun, I'm having the best time. I'm also gearing up for the new Kenobi series on D+, because now that Clone Wars has me? I might just have to watch it with K. as well. I never thought the day would come when I'm anticipating anything Star Wars. Lo and behold.
Sarica is growing to be a stronger and stronger muse and I'm really enjoying exploring his character. Still looking for a beta reader for my fic for the

Other than that, I'm in a slump right now, writing-wise, but I have been writing an insane lot. I'm three prompts from having covered my

All in all, I feel fandom side of things is going well. So that's the side I'm sticking to.
