AP V.72 by Palladas

Since life's so sweet, since I shall live but once,
and since this is so fleeting, sorrow hence!
I'll live to-day, drink, dance, and with the rose
garland my loves. Tomorrow? No man knows.

Just. Mood today, tbh.

ACHILLES COME DOWN - GANG OF YOUTHS

This song has pretty much run on repeat since I started playing Timachus, it's one of my main mood songs for him. The tone and vibe of this song is just perfect for everything about him as a character and his universe. Plus, it's just such a pleasant song to listen to. And the lyrics are /chef's kiss.

WHAT'S GOING ON IN RL
Weekend was good. Today has been okay, which isn't that common for a Monday. But it has and I'm trying to just stay in that mode, in that feeling of... everything will work out and be all right. I know the anxiety will return, but until then I'm just really basking in this ray of mental sunshine.

I have a meeting with my social worker tomorrow, we're going to put some words on the things that haven't worked while I've been in my internship, because it occurred to me last week that I've had to put a lot of things on hold in my private life to get that ship to sail as it should. And that's not how it's supposed to be, both aspects of my life should run smoothly and if it can't, something must be adjusted.

I don't know what, though, but I guess that's what my mentor will help me figure out.

I just know I need help, that's really the crux of it. And I hate needing help, I know that, too.

WHAT'S GOING ON IN FANDOM/RP
Been getting started good on the PSL I'm doing with K. and I'm really enjoying what we're building up slowly, but surely. The universe is inspiring me to write a lot and have put up a string of new stories on AO3 and have gotten kudos on all of them, so I think others are finding it interesting as well, which is always a boost of energy on a writing project for me. So far I have these stories up and have some vague ideas for a couple more, so we'll see when they hit the archive as well. Writing comes in bursts these days for me.

Inspired by Timachus and his 'verse, I bought a small pocket book on poetry from Greek Antiquity and it's great! That's where the poem today is from. They have collected very brief introductions of a whole hoard of Greek writers, women and men, and some examples of their poetry, so it's a myriad of different styles and voices and I absolutely love that. I'm going to use it for Timachus' poetry when I get to write more of that at some point.

I also need to work more on my [community profile] unconventionalcourtship contribution. Carmen's voice comes and goes for me, though, so it's about catching her at a time she's cooperative and I am, too. Can be tricky. But I have hope for that fic and I think it's going to be interesting, new and great!

Furthermore, I've made a writing/rp journal for the Amazon from the Danish poetry collection, Omina, by Naja Marie Aidt and Mette Moestrup. So far she's amazing to write, but not quite ready to try writing fic for her, though I have a couple of very insistent ideas.
